Ingredients
6 tbsp oliveoil
1 1/2 pnd ripe tomatoes, seeded and skinned, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bayleaf
1/2 cup beef stock
1 pnd mixed ground pork/beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bunch parsley, chopped
2 eggs
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
salt, pepper and paprika powder
Preparation
Sauce
Heat 2 tbsp oliveoil and saute onions on low heat for a few minutes, add tomatoes, bayleaf and stock. Bring slowly to a simmer and let simmer for 30 minutes (lid on).
Mix mince, garlic, half the parsley, crumbs and eggs and mix well. Bring to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Form into small meatballs and saute in oil until done.
Bring the sauce to taste with salt, pepper and paprika and add meatballs. Simmer for 10 more minutes and they're done.
Serve with bread.
