RECIPE CHINESE OMELET

Recipe for "Foe Yong Hai", a chinese egg dish with a sweet/sour sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 onion choppped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, in strips
  • 4 oz. leek, in rings
  • 4 oz. mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 eggs, whisked with salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp tomatopuree
  • 1 tsp chilipaste

Preparation

Saute onion and garlic in some oil, add bellpepper, leek and mushrooms. Pour eggs over vegetables and lower heat, turn omelet when top runs dry.

For the sauce warm tomatopuree and chilipaste with some water and maybe some sugar or ketchup.

Serve with rice.
