RECIPE SOURKRAUT DISH

Recipe for a sourkraut ovendish.

Vegetable dishes from The Netherlands for 4 persons

Ingredients

  • 1 pnd sourkraut
  • 1 pnd ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chilipaste
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • about 5 slices pineapple (more/less if you like)
  • enough potato mash to cover dish
  • gravy or melted butter (optional)
  • shredded cheese (optional)

Preparation

Rinse sourkraut.

Saute beef with onion, garlic and chilipaste. When done prepare ovendish.

Layer in ovendish from bottom to top: sourkraut, pineapple, beef, mustard, mash, butter/gravy and cheese.

Bake in oven at 175C/350F for about 45 minutes.
