RECIPE SHALLOT MUSTARD BUTTER

Recipe for herbed butter from France with shallots and mustard.

Sauces and dressings from France , suitable for on or with a bbq dish, for christmas and other holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp sunflower oil
  • 3 shallots, chopped very finely
  • 4 oz soft unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp black peppercorns, roughly crushed in mortar
  • 1 tsp dijonmustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

Saute shallot in oil on low heat until softened and golden. Leave to cool.

Mix with butter with the other ingredients and form this in a roll in some cling film. Leave to cool in fridge.

Serve on grilled meat. Slice of cold from roll and let melt on hot food.
