RECIPE LAMBCHOPS WITH BABY POTATOES AND BROCCOLI

Recipe for lambchops with special potatoes.

Meat dishes from France for 4 persons, suitable for for christmas and other holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grated cheese, use slightly strong cheese
  • 1 pnd baby potatoes
  • 1 1/2 pnd lambchops
  • 1 tbsp mustard each of fine, grain and mild mustard
  • 1 pnd broccoli, in bitesize pieces
  • some basil leaves
  • veal stock

Preparation

Preheat oven to 200C/400F.

Heat some butter and/or oil and saute potatoes until slightly colored.

Chop a few broccoli pieces finely and add to potatoes. Steam the rest of the broccoli until done with some salt.

Add 2 tsp mustard to potatoes and add veal stock until covered. Remove bone from chops and add to stock and simmer on low heat.

Saute chops until browned and put in oven until done.

Take potatoes from pan and drain, arrange chops on potatoes and garnish with basil and cheese. Serve with brocolli on the side.
