RECIPE DUCKBREAST WITH SHITAKE

Poultry dishes from China for 4 persons

Ingredients

  • 2 duckbreasts with skin
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp fivespice powder
  • Sauce
  • 1/2 pnd Shitake mushrooms
  • 1/2 inch gingerroot, shredded
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped finely
  • 2 tbsp hoisinsauce

Preparation

Carve skin and rub with 5 spice powder, leave for about 30 mins.

Slice mushrooms and stirfry in oil, add garlic and ginger until golden. Add hoisin and 1 cup of water, leave to simmer for about 20 mins.

Then prepare duck, skinside down, about 8 mins until it crispens. Then other side for another 4 mins.

Slice thinly and serve with sauce.

Serve with stirfried rice and vegetables.
