RECIPE CHICKEN WITH CHERRYPIE

Poultry dishes from The Netherlands for 4 persons, suitable for for children or prepare with children.

Ingredients

  • 1 pnd chickenbreast, sliced
  • 6 pieces stem ginger, minced
  • 2 jars cherries, pitless
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 1/2 cup creme fraiche
  • 1 tsp chilipaste
  • 5 tsp capers
  • 6 ounces grated cheese
  • 1/4 pnd mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • some pieces of pastry

Preparation

Saute chicken in oil, add garlic and ginger. Add leeks and mushrooms. Saute a few minutes. Add chilipaste to taste with capers. Add creme fraiche. Heat through, add curry powder and mix well. Finally add cherries.

Preheat oven and coat ovendish with pastry, pour mixture on pastry and cover with some more pastry. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 30 mins in oven at 400F/200C.

Serve with a salad.
