RECIPE TAKSUTA AGE (DEEP FRIED CHICKEN)

Poultry dishes from Japan for 4 persons, suitable for for children or prepare with children.

Ingredients

  • 4 chickenbreasts
  • 3 tbsp soysauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin or sweet sherry
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 clove garlic; pressed
  • 2 ounces flour; mixed with
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • oil; for deep-frying

Preparation

Cut the chicken in 1 inch pieces and mix with rest of the ingredients, except the flour, in a deep bowl. Let it marinade in a cool spot, covered. Stir regularly.

Take the chicken out ogf the bowl with a skimmer, and roll the pieces throuh the flour.

Heat up the oil to 360 F (180 C) and fry the chicken well-cooked in little portions in about 2-3 minutes.

Let it leek on a piece of kitchen-paper, if you want you can serve additional soy sauce as a dipper
